We are BEYOND excited that we found this product again. We were so bummed when the company closed as this was our FAVORITE seasoning. We were overjoyed To find y'all and this product again. Bought 5 so we don’t run out anytime soon. Hale to the Hales!!!!
So sad to hear that Van passed, but relieved to find out that his fantastic products are still for sale. We'd buy 2 lbs at a time. This is my favorite steak seasoning in my 66 years of eating steak. Hoping to find it in bulk soon. Will that ever be an option?
I was very happy to find out that the Hale Hole folks had taken over Van Roehling's seasonings. I've been using the Sizzlin' Oak Steak Seasoning for many years: It's amazingly good. I use it on steak (obviously) but also use it as a rub on roasts and to season ground beef that goes into my chili. Unfortunately it disappeared from the shelves at Buc-ees a few years ago, and I couldn't find a new supply anywhere.
My supply got down to less than half a bottle, so I tried two or three other rubs, but nothing was as good. So I did some internet digging; I found the Hale Hole web site and ordered a couple of bottles. When it arrived, I immediately compared it to what's left of my old supply, and yep, it's the same stuff! Tried it on some steaks the next night and it's just as good as it ever was.
Try this on any type of beef: Steaks, roasts, burgers...it's amazing!
